Championing Neurodivergent Minds — Through Storytelling, Parenting, and Lived Experience
I grew up as one of six kids, half of us neurodivergent — and from the very beginning, I was immersed in different ways of thinking and being. That experience shaped my life and eventually led me to earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University.
Today, I’m a late-diagnosed autistic adult, raising two incredible neurodivergent kids navigating sensory processing disorder and ADHD. My journey as both a parent and neurodivergent person has given me deep, hands-on insight into how to support kids who experience the world differently.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve learned through lived experience, not textbooks. From the trial-and-error of daily life to therapy sessions and nervous system deep-dives, I’ve developed an expert-level understanding of neurodiverse parenting and child development — and I bring that perspective into everything I write.
Through picture books and stories rooted in empathy, I help kids feel seen, and help parents feel less alone. My books are inspired by real challenges, real wins, and the urgent need for more representation, regulation tools, and radical acceptance in children’s literature.
I’m currently developing a growing collection of books focused on:
Neurodiversity & self-advocacy
Emotional regulation & sensory needs
Empathy, inclusion, and authentic connection
My mission is simple: to create stories that don’t just accommodate neurodivergent minds — they celebrate them.
