FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about Divergent Kids sensory swings.

What is the Divergent Kids swing for?

Our patented double-fabric sensory swing is designed to help neurodivergent kids (autism, ADHD, SPD, PDA profiles) regulate, calm, and self-organize through vestibular and deep-pressure input. What’s included when I order?

You receive the swing body (double-fabric) and the hardware described on the product page. Please read the listing to confirm what’s included, because ceiling mounts and carabiners may vary by kit. How do I install it?

Install into a ceiling joist or other load-bearing structure only. If you are unsure, hire a handyman or contractor. We don’t recommend installing into drywall alone. Indoor play = adult supervision.

What is the weight limit?

Most of our swings are safe up to 200–250 lbs when properly installed into structure. Always check the exact listing for the current rating.

Can my child use it for stimming/movement breaks?

Yes. That’s exactly what we designed it for. Short sensory “doses” during the day can help kids come back to learning and daily tasks regulated. Do you take returns?

Yes, on unused swings in original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Used or washed swings can’t be returned for hygiene/safety reasons. Read the full return policy →

My swing arrived damaged. What do I do?

Email us at customerservice@divergentkids.com with your order number and photos and we’ll send a replacement. Do you ship outside the U.S.?

Right now we primarily ship within the U.S. If you need international shipping, email us and we’ll quote it.

Can I use it outdoors?

It’s designed for indoor sensory use. Outdoor use will shorten fabric life and isn’t covered the same way as normal use.

Do you work with schools/therapists?

Yes. If you’re an OT, teacher, or parent advocate and need a PO or multiple units, email customerservice@divergentkids.com.
